PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open a sliding door with light force, after solving a problem wherein the force of a sliding door closer when closing the door is required to be stronger and the sliding door is required to be fastened in a closed state when closed, because the sliding door is resiliently returned and slightly opened as the door end abuts on a door end frame when closing the sliding door. SOLUTION: A roller case for pushing up a roller always upward is mounted to the door end upper part of the sliding door, and a roller guide for receiving the roller is mounted to an upper frame. A taper angle is provided in the position of the roller guide which which the roller comes in contact from the state of the door close to closure until the complete closure to provide a roller latch mechanism for the sliding door which assists in closing the sliding door, prevents resilience when closing the sliding door, and retreats the roller by pulling a handle when opening the sliding door, it does not resist at the time when opening the door.
