The invention relates to a method and a system for distribution of a gas in a liquid, especially in water, wherein said gas is introduced into a fluid stream to obtain a fluid stream with dissolved gas and wherein said fluid stream with said dissolved gas is introduced into said liquid. Said fluid stream with said dissolved gas is kept at a height below the level of said liquid until it is introduced into said liquid.
