PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate construction method and a plate construction structure facilitating construction and having excellent external design by easily adjusting the longitudinal positions of plates. SOLUTION: The plate construction method is provided for constructing the plate construction structure 1 for sticking a plurality of plates 10 to a backing material 5 of a wall surface through fittings 2 to finish the wall surface. The fitting 2 has a first leg part 21 and a second leg part 22, a first back plate part 23 and a second back plate part 24, and a first projecting part 25 and a second projecting part 26. In a fitting fixing process, a plurality of fittings 2 are fixed to the backing material 5 of the wall surface. In a plate sticking process, a rear side face 111 of the lower end of the plate 10 is bonded to the first back plate part 23 through an adhesive 4, and a rear side face 111 of the upper end of the plate 10 is bonded to the second back plate part 24 through the adhesive 4 to stick the plate 10 to the plurality of fittings 2.
