PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy method for manufacturing fine magnetite particles having a uniform particle size distribution and having the affinity to a living matter. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the fine magnetite particles comprises a step to add an oxidizing agent to a deoxygenated alkali aqueous solution, a step to add a soluble amount of divalent iron ions in the alkali aqueous solution added with the oxidizing agent and a step to generate the fine magnetite particles by agitating the alkali aqueous solution added with the divalent iron ions. The fine magnetite particles whose crystallinity is excellent, whose particle size distribution is extremely uniform and which have intensive magnetization can be obtained.
