PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparing method of a booklet which enables avoidance of an increase of the cost of equipment or final products and more efficient preparation of the booklet having a tab part. SOLUTION: The equipment 20 for preparing the booklet utilizes a collator for preparing a slip or the like and has a sheet feeding part 21 having four roll-shaped sheets RA, RB, RC and RD whereon patterns A, B, C and D for unit pages are printed consecutively, a rotary die 22 for punching out tabs T, a separating part 23 having four paths different in distance and separating the four roll-shaped sheets RA, RB, RC and RD into individual ribbons, etc. The roll-shaped sheets are superposed on each other so that the patterns A, B, C and D are shifted by 1/4 and the stacked portions of the roll-shaped sheets superposed on each other are punched out at a time by the rotary die 22. The roll-shaped sheets are passed individually through the paths of the separating part 23 different in distance and the patterns A, B, C and D of the roll-shaped sheets are lined up.
