PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a rice bowl used during a meal for eating rice, which is in a shape with deep bottom that allows a large amount of rice served to cause excessive intake of calories. SOLUTION: The bottom of a calorie-controlling rice bowl is raised to around 80% depth from the top inside the bowl to help controlling the intake of calories by visual stimulation to provide satisfaction with a small amount of rice. Additionally by putting a mark at the center on the surface the intake of calories can be controlled in two ways: one by placing rice on entire bowl, and one by placing rice outside the mark. Also by putting main dish inside the mark and rice in its surroundings, the consumption of rice can be reduced and the caloric intake can be controlled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
