PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network video camera recognition system and method for simplifying an installation operation of software. SOLUTION: A network video camera stores a password and a video application program, and a server side website recognizes the network video camera by a recognition module and further supplies a function module. Therefore, the network video camera can be connected from a client side computer to the server side website after installing the video application program supplied by the network video camera in the client side computer, the server side website determines whether the password of the network video camera is legal, and when the password is determined to be legal, the network video camera can obtain an audio video service supplied from the function module.
