PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communications terminal and a broadcast information providing system which can reduce the time between the start of the operation of acquiring broadcast-related information until the acquisition of desired broadcast-related information. SOLUTION: This mobile communications terminal 20 is provided with a data communications unit 212, a tuner unit 217, an output unit 216, a storage unit 218 and a main control unit 215. The unit 215 operates as a broadcast information acquiring means for receiving and acquiring desired broadcast-related information from a broadcast information providing server 70 for holding the broadcast-related information related to the contents of broadcast from a broadcasting station. In receiving and acquiring the broadcast-related information, the unit 215 transmits positional information, received from an information station 50 and stored in the storage unit 218, to the server 70.
