PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with abnormality in continuous current carrying of an electric motor 6 for restart of a vehicle provided with an idle stop system. SOLUTION: When consumption current of the electric motor 6 for restart is monitored and the consumption current is detected after restarting an engine 1, it is determined that abnormality in continuous current carrying occurs to increase the idle speed of the engine.
