PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge control circuit and a charging apparatus which can suppress heat generation caused by charge in a constant current charge period. SOLUTION: The charge control circuit 1a has a detecting circuit 30 for controlling a charge transistor 12 for supplying a current I1 and a charge transistor controller 40a, and a current source 50 for supplying a current I2 and its current source controller 60a. For example, in the case of charging a secondary battery 11 by using an adaptor having a current limiting function, it charges the secondary battery 11 with the current I1 in the constant current charge period until a charge voltage of the secondary battery 11 becomes 3.2-4.2 V, and it charges the secondary battery 11 by I1+I2= charge current I after it becomes 4.2 V.
