PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily transfer musical piece data from an audio server to a portable audio data reproduction apparatus. SOLUTION: A list edit screen 310 is displayed in a display part of the audio server where a large amount of music data is accumulated. The music data accumulated in the server is displayed in a list in an area 300. The data to be transferred from the server to a portable recording and reproducing apparatus is displayed in the list in an area 301. The data selected within the area 300 is added to the list of the area 301 by a button 302. The data selected within the area 301 is deleted from the list by a button 303. The data displayed in the area 301 is collectively transferred to a portable apparatus by the operation of a prescribed transfer button. Even if the portable apparatus is not connected to the server, the transfer data can be edited. The data is managed by the list and a plurality of the data can be collectively transferred.
