PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coolant processing method and coolant processing equipment wherein mixed carbon can be finely removed from aqueous coolant. SOLUTION: In the coolant processing method of removing the carbon mixed in the aqueous coolant used in industrial machinery 10, oil is added to the coolant, and the carbon is coated with the oil to be floated. The floated carbon is removed from the coolant together with the oil. Also, the coolant processing equipment 100 for removing the carbon mixed in the aqueous coolant used in the industrial machinery 10 is provided with an oil addition device 50 for adding oil to the coolant, and an oil recovery device 60 for recovering the oil added by the oil addition device 50 from the coolant.
