PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-shaft drive device constituted so as to smoothly stop an object to be driven in case of emergency without exerting unreasonable external force on respective shafts or the object to be driven. SOLUTION: The multi-shaft drive device comprises: a plurality of drive means 15A and 15B for respectively rotating or moving the object 11 to be driven, which is moved in the axial directions of a plurality of the shafts 14A and 14B by the rotation or movement of the shafts 14A and 14B, and the respective shafts 14A and 14B; and a control means 20 for synchronously controlling the drive means 15A and 15B so that the position of the object 11 to be driven in the respective shafts 14A and 14B is not shifted and controlling the drive means 15A and 15B on the basis of a predetermined deceleration pattern at the time of stop in case of emergency.
