When two mounting units (MU1, MU2) for performing a series of component mounting operations constituted of component holding, component recognition, and component placing are arranged, operation control is executed so that, while a component recognition or board recognizing operation is performed in either one mounting unit of the two mounting units, the component placing or component holding operation is not performed in the other mounting unit of the mounting units.
