PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projecting apparatus varying the aspect ratio of a projected image, and also, reducing the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The image projecting apparatus is provided with six planar mirrors 31A to 32C for respectively reflecting six rectangular divided images which are projected from a projector 2 after being displayed in six rectangular divided areas in the liquid crystal panel of a projector 2, and then, projecting the images to a screen 4. The six rectangular divided images are arranged in one line by the six planer mirrors, and then, an oblong projection image having an aspect ratio different from that of a liquid crystal panel is displayed on the screen 4. Varying the aspect ratio of the image eliminates the need for a plurality of projectors, and it is enough to install one projector 2, then, the manufacturing cost of the image projecting apparatus is reduced.
