PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by reducing with a simple configuration a load due to command transfer. SOLUTION: An OSD (on screen display) system 107 is equipped with: a command control circuit 401; a VRAM 402; an increment control circuit 403; and a font ROM 404. The command control circuit 401 transfers a command signal to the VRAM 402. The command signal from the command control circuit 401 is written in the VRAM 402. The increment control circuit 403 performs increment processing by reading a head code written in the VRAM 402 each time the increment periodical signal is inputted and an increment result is sequentially outputted. The font ROM 404 reads a code which is the increment result from the increment control circuit 403 and outputs character data corresponding to the read code. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
