PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized skateboard capable of going over a large level difference on a road surface and minimizing the danger of falling. SOLUTION: The skateboard comprises: a hinge shaft 7, a motor 10, a driving wheel shaft 9, a battery 15, and a controller 16, which are fixed to a skateboard main body 1; an ellipsoidal driving front wheel 8 whose both ends are cut, to be driven by the motor 10 through a transmission system 11; a steering device 13 provided with a spring 5 for impact absorption and a pair of wheels 12; a skateboard deck 2 connected with the skateboard main body 1 through a hinge bearing 4; and an electromagnetic brake 14 for executing speed control to the steering device 13 and the wheels 12. The skateboard deck 2 is provided with a strain sensor 3, the gravity center position of a rider riding on the skateboard is calculated by the controller 16 by using the signals of the strain sensor 3, and the output of the motor 10 and the electromagnetic brake 14 is controlled so as to accelerate in the direction that the gravity center of the rider is inclined.
