<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording object which does not become sticky, nor causes adhesion, even when water sticks to a heat-sensitive surface. <P>SOLUTION: This thermal recording object comprises on a substrate a thermal recording layer made to contain at least a leuco dye and a developer making the leuco dye colored in heating, and an overcoat layer provided on the thermal recording layer.
