METHOD FOR PRODUCING 5'GUANYLIC ACID

A 5'-guanylic acid is prepd. by (a) separating xanthylic acid aminase gene-contg. gua A gene, (b) ligating the obtd. gua A gene with tryptophan promotor-contg. vector pDR720 to obtain the recombinant plasmid pXA64, (c) transforming the obtd. pXA64 into E. coli HB101 to obtain the E. coli mutant KFCC 10722 (I), (d) fermenting the obtd. (I) in the medium, sornicating the fermented cell and collecting xanthylic acid aminase, and (e) converting continously 5'-xanthylic acid into 5'-guanylic acid by using the obtd. xanthylic acid aminase.
