<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing a polyolefin bearing a terminal functional group. <P>SOLUTION: The olefin polymer bearing on one end the terminal functional group selected from among a hydroxy group-containing group, a halogen-containing group, a nitrogen-containing compound and a sulfur-containing compound is manufactured by a step 1 for manufacturing the olefin polymer bearing Al on one end by polymerizing at least one olefin selected from among ethylene and 3-10Cα-olefins in the presence of an olefin polymerization catalyst component comprised of (A) a specific transition metal compound and (B) at least one compound selected from among (B-1) organoaluminum compounds, (B-2) a transition metal compound and compounds reactive with (A) to form an ion pair, and a step 2 for reacting the thus-formed olefin polymer bearing Al on one end with an oxygen-containing compound, a halogen-containing compound, a nitrogen-containing compound or a sulfur-containing compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
