<p>A sound-emission insulation panel for an automotive component e.g. catalytic converter or silencer. The sound emission panel has sound insulation material sandwiched between an outer panel and an inner panel. Two or more panels jointly form a case around the mantle of the noise source. The case components are held together by screw fittings under tension and not contact with the noise source mantle. The insulation material is e.g. steel wool or glass fiber.</p> |
