PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk shape magnetic recording medium on which servo signals for tracking are recorded as a pre-format by a magnetic transfer method, wherein a master disk carrying information to be transferred can be manufactured easily. SOLUTION: The disk shape magnetic recording medium 2 permits the asymmetry of a reproducing signal wave of a recorded servo signal for tracking, and facilitates the manufacture of the master disk 3 carrying the servo information for tracking to be transferred, and the servo signals for tracking to be recorded in a short period using the magnetic transfer method.
