LAMINATE FOR LASER MARKING

This invention provides a laminate for laser marking, which is useful, for example, as means for display on a face (S) of a sheet-like molded product of a thermoplastic resin. The laminate for laser marking comprises a layer (B) stacked on at least one side of a layer (A). The layer (A) is a layer that is formed from a thermoplastic polymer composition for multicolor development laser marking and can be marked in two or more different hues upon exposure to two or more laser beams having different energy and satisfies the following requirements (1) and (2). The layer (B) is a layer that is formed of a transparent thermoplastic resin and has a light transmittance of not less than 70% in a single layer form. (1) The layer (A) comprises a colored colorant, a black material, which, upon exposure to laser beams, disappears or discolors, and a thermoplastic polymer at the following ratio. (2) The content of the colored colorant and the content of the black material are 0.001 to 3 parts by weight and 0.01 to 2 parts by weight, respectively, based on 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic polymer.
