PURPOSE:To perform efficient transmission according to the contents of information to be transmitted and the operation state of a system, by making a transmission route for the information transmission changeable. CONSTITUTION:Terminals T1-T8 each have an input line LI and an output line LO both consisting of optical fiber cable for information, and connectors C1- C16 are provided atop of lines LI and LO to make a star connection with an exchange K. In this constitution, when the system should be altered into a loop system owing to trouble occurring to the star connection, the connectors C1-C16 are detached from the exchange K and connected mutually to connect the input lines LI and output lines LO of adjacent terminals, forming a looped transmission line making a connection among the terminals T1-T8. |
