<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid acid catalyst capable of producing in a simple process, having a higher activity, selectivity and affinity to organic substances in comparison to a conventional solid acid catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The solid acid catalyst containing laminar nano sheets of titanic acid having a proton and/or an organic cation is obtained by contacting and reacting a titanium alkoxide or titanium hydroxide with the organic cation in a solution. Preferably, the solid acid catalyst containing laminar nano sheets of titanic acid having a proton and/or an organic cation and a silicate is obtained by mixing and reacting a mixture of a titanium alkoxide and a silicon alkoxide or a mixture of titanium hydroxide and the silicate with the organic cation in a solution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
