PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a suture needle for the operation which can firmly keep the strength against the bending moment and improve the piercing property to the tissue. SOLUTION: A tip side of a round bar-like needle 11 is pressed to form a triangular bar-like portion 14 with an upper formed surface 15 in a substantially flat shape. The tip of the triangular bar-like portion 14 is placed in a pressing die 33 having a V-shaped groove 34 which becomes gradually narrower and shallower toward the tip, and ridges 16, 17, 18 of the triangular bar-like portion 14 are intersected at the tips thereof with each other to form a needle tip part 21 having a blade portion 19 of substantially isosceles triangular section. The portion of the ridge 16 is worked in a substantially flat shape of the predetermined width and length from a part close to the tip of the needle tip part 21 toward a base side, and the worked portion is formed trapezoidal in section. An upper surface 15 of the blade portion 19 is ground in substantially flat, a flash piece 20 is ground off to form a bald tip 19a, and a cutting blade 25 is formed on ridges 27a, 18a on both sides of the blade tip 19a. |
