<p>A laser oil level setting kit comprising: a vee block which is attached to a rotating shaft via a chain and bracket arrangement. A square cross-sectioned rod is attached to the vee block and extends away from an end thereof a further bracket being clamped to the square-cross-sectioned rod, the bracket being able to be clamped to the rod in any position by a grub screw. An additional calibrated cylindrical rod extends from the same movable bracket at 90 degrees to the square cross-sectioned rod, the bracket being clamped to the cylindrical rod in any position by a further grub screw. The cylindrical rod is calibrated in millimetres and has a laser pointer positioned at its bottom end and accurately transfers the oil level inside the casing of a bearing of the shaft onto the bearing casing.</p> |
