The towlette has a structured layer (1) to receive an active product such as a maintenance product, cleaner and care product, and to exert a mechanic action. The layer (1) is connected to an outer side of one of two thin, smooth and hydrophobic layers (2, 3). The layers (2, 3) are assembled on their periphery (4) to create a gripping pocket for introducing and protecting the fingers of a professional/specialist, during manipulation. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a towlette with a gripping pocket.
