<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saline water cartridge which is easy to operate and is safe against nuclear radiation as well. <P>SOLUTION: The saline water cartridge comprises: a primary passage extending from a saline water reservoir to a radiopharmaceutical inlet port (71); and a secondary passage extending from the exit of the primary passage to a radiopharmaceutical outlet port (72) for a patient injection device to inject radiopharmaceuticals to a patient. A first check valve (75) is provided in the outlet of the primary passage to allow the radiopharmaceuticals injected from a radiopharmaceutical carrying syringe to flow to a radiopharmaceutical outlet port while preventing reverse flow. A second check valve (76) is arranged in the outlet of a saline water reservoir to allow saline water to be filled into the primary passage while preventing reverse flow. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
