<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window sensor for a vehicle surely detecting approach of a person to the window of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The window sensor for the vehicle is equipped with an electric capacitance detection circuit for detecting the change of the electric capacitance between a transparent or linear sensor electrode installed on the window glass of the vehicle and a vehicle body. The sensor electrode is installed on a glass surface or an inner layer of a laminated glass, and can be in a grid shape or a striped shape.
