PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for rapidly separating PCB and a method for analyzing separated PCB. SOLUTION: In a first step, a sample 1 of PCB contained organic liquid is disposed on a flat surface of a sample base 2 by using a micropipet 3, and an oil solidifying agent 4 picked by a spatula 5 is added to and mixed with the sample 1. In a second step, a mixture 7 of the PCB contained organic liquid 1 and the oil solidifying agent 4 obtained in the first step is left, thereby obtaining a solidified product 8 made of organic liquid which is contained in the sample 1 and solidified by the oil solidifying agent 4, and a residuary liquid matter 9 which is not solidified by the oil solidifying agent 4. In a third step, the solidified product 8 is removed from the sample base 2, and qualitative and quantitative analyses of the PCB are carried out for the residuary liquid matter 9 on the sample base 2 as an object to be analyzed by using a time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry.
