An easy-to-tear halogen-free wrapping tape, comprised of a film layer and of an adhesive layer the film layer containing a copolymer of (a) alpha-olefin of formula R-CH-CH2, in which R represents hydrogen or an alkyl radical having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; (b) an alpha,beta-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid comprised of 3 to 8 carbon atoms, and; (c) optionally containing an additional monoethylenically unsaturated monomer; 10 to 90% of the carboxylic acid groups of the copolymer being substituted by neutralizing with metal ions.
