<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of automatically setting an adjacent sector to which soft-handover is effectively activated. <P>SOLUTION: A base station corresponding to a first sector communicating with a wireless terminal and a base station corresponding to a second sector starting communication with the wireless terminal by movement or like of the wireless terminal transmit a terminal identifier, a time, and a sector identifier acquired from the wireless terminal to a base station control section (hereinafter called the control section). The control section sequentially stores the received sector identifiers into a table in accordance with the terminal identifiers and the times received from the base stations. Further, the control section refers to the table to determine whether or not different sector identifiers are stored within a predetermined time range, selects a set of the two different sector identifiers as adjacent sector candidates, and counts the number of times that each adjacent sector is selected as the adjacent sector candidate. The control section transmits a change request including adjacent sector information as to the other sector to the base station corresponding to one of the sectors in the adjacent sector candidates, the counted number of times of which is a threshold value or over. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
