An articulated foldable sandal (10) may include a sole (12) having a forefoot portion (16) that is adapted to be disposed under a front portion of a wearer's foot and a rear-foot portion (18) that is adapted to be disposed under a rear portion of the wearer's foot. The sole (12) may also have an articulating member (24) that may be operatively coupled to both the forefoot portion (16) and the rear-foot portion (18). The articulating member (24) may include at least two distinct axes of rotation (40,42) and may be adapted to enable the sandal (10) to be selectively moved between an open configuration suitable for wearing and a folded configuration. The sandal (10) may also include a retaining member (14) fastened to the sole (12) and adapted to hold the sandal (10) on a wearer's foot.
