摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a good image quality by eliminating the deviance of the brightness distribution of three primary colors in a pixel, and by improving the convergence. <P>SOLUTION: Arrangement of any one of or a plurality of sub pixels r, g, and b of the three primary colors composing a pixel is established in a plurality of regions. For example, the green sub pixel g is disposed at the center of the pixel, and the red sub pixel r is divided into two, the one being disposed at the immediate left r1 of the green sub pixel g, and the other being disposed at the right-hand edge r2 of the pixel. The blue sub pixel b is divided into two, the one being disposed at the left-hand edge (the immediate left of the sub pixel r1) b1 of the pixel, and the other being disposed at the immediate right b2 of the green sub pixel g. The two divided sub pixels are flashed simultaneously and they behave as if they were one sub pixel. As the two sub pixels are dispersed in two regions, the brightness distribution of the color expands, and the the apparent center of the brightness distribution comes to the vicinity of the center of the pixel.
