<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable real time reproducing by reducing movement of an optical pickup, even if editing is carried out after recording on a multilayer recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: In this multilayer medium recording/reproducing device and recording/reproducing method, using the multilayer recording medium and movement (inter-layer jump) of the optical head between the layers, after a plurality of contents (a plurality of scenes in the case of photographing by a camera) are recorded, so-called recording content editing are performed, such as erasing a part of the contents or changing a part of reproducing order.
