PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial pump, easily forming a cooling means for cooling a shaft sealing device. SOLUTION: In this industrial pump, both end sides of a rotating shaft 6 on which an impeller 7 is mounted are rotatably supported by a bearing 12 mounted on a pump body 1, and the shaft sealing device 16 disposed adjacent to the bearing 12 is cooled by cooling water introduced from the outside. A shaft sealing case 16a of the shaft sealing device 16 is fitted to the inner peripheral surface of a bracket 13 storing the shaft sealing device 16 by shrinkage fitting, and the pump is provided with a cooling means 17 for passing cooling water through the boundary part between the bracket 13 and the shaft sealing case 16a to cool the shaft sealing device 16. Since it is not necessary to block up an opening part of the cooling means 17 with a cover by welding, welding work or heat treatment after welding is not needed so that the work man-hour required for the above work can be reduced to lower the cost of the whole pump.
