PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new configuration improving luminance in an electroluminescent element. SOLUTION: The electroluminescent element 100 is provided with a pixel 80 with a first electrode 20, a first insulating layer 30, a light emitting layer 50 containing a light emitting center, a second insulating layer 60 and a second electrode 70 sequentially laminated on an insulating substrate 10 and is comprised of material in which at least a light extraction side is optically transparent.
