PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent image by preventing generation of color shift in transfer of ink by making carrying speed of a recording medium in each carrying unit have the same speed. SOLUTION: This printer has a plurality of recording units 5 provided in parallel along a carrier path of the recording medium 2 to record images, the carrying unit 16 provided corresponding to each of the recording units 5 and having a plurality of carrying rollers 17A for carrying the recording medium 2, stepping motors 19 for driving each of the carrying rollers 17A, and a frequency modulator 26 for modulating a driving frequency oscillated by each of the stepping motors 19 so that each of the carrying rollers 17A may be driven at driving speed for making the carrying speed of the recording medium 2 in each of the carrying unit 16 have the same speed.
