<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an electronic camera determined to have an uncorrectable white blemish generated therein from being shipped, and to prevent the white blemish from being appearing on an image photographed with the electronic camera. <P>SOLUTION: White blemish correction information is recorded in a flash memory 20d of a digital camera 1 determined to have a correctable white blemish in an inspection process. The information consists of coordinates of pixels of the white blemish and coordinates of correction pixels to be used for correcting the pixels of the white blemish. If the white blemish correction information is recorded in a flash memory 20d and the temperature of a CCD type image pickup element 13 is not less than a predetermined value, a control unit 20 uses the data of a pixels for correction to correct the data of pixels of the white blemish in an RAW system image data written into a buffer memory 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
