PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnosing device capable of accurately diagnosing failure of a fuel level sensor at high frequency. SOLUTION: In the case wherein a difference between the maximum value FLFLMAX and the minimum value FLFLMIN of detected fuel level FLFLM within a determination period is smaller than a determination threshold value FLVLJUDFLM when travelling distance DISTFLMK of a vehicle reaches the determination distance DISTJUDFLM, failure of the fuel level sensor is determined (S45, S52 and S53).
