<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To input e-mail by a language, display or read it by the language even when a character code of a language that a user wants to use is absent for a cell phone. <P>SOLUTION: In a character information display system, a terminal device 1 is provided with a character input means 11 for supporting character input by a used language, a character determination display means 13 for transmitting a yet-to-be-determined character to a multilingual display server 3 to determine from among conversion candidate characters from the multilingual display server 3, a document transmission means 14, and a document receiving means 15, wherein the multilingual display server 3 is provided with a character conversion table 31 showing a conversion relationship between the character codes of multiple languages and font data, a conversion candidate production means 32 for searching the character conversion table 31 for a conversion candidate character to send font data to the terminal device 1, and a document data transmission means 33 which acquires document data from a normal server 4 used by a user when a reception request is made from the terminal device 1, obtains font data from the character conversion table 31, and transmits it to the terminal device 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
