PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a display input time by displaying Japanese, such as hiragana, katakana, voiced sound symbol, semivoiced sound symbol and punctuation mark with a two-time key operation for one character as a rule. SOLUTION: This input device can display kana and alphabet by performing two-time key pressing-down operation as a rule. When, just after the depression of kana row keys or alphabet keys 1 to 14, the numerical keys 1 to 5 shared by the input keys and showing a vowel column of basic numerical values 1 to 5 are pressed down, display and input of these are performed. A system for displaying kana and alphabet as a unit of combining them and numerical values makes it possible to perform kana and alphabet display.
