PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in rustling of a hand touch or problems in quality dispersion such as dyeing specks when formed into a knitted fabric if a usually used textured yarn is used and to feed a draw-false twist textured yarn affording the knitted fabric having softness and stretchability. SOLUTION: The draw-false twist textured yarn for the knitted fabric is composed of a synthetic fiber satisfying the following characteristics (1) to (6). (1)≥5.0 to≤15.0% CR (stretch recovery), (2)≥0.5 to≤5.0% TR (crimp development stretch ratio), (3)≥0.1 to≤1.0 cN/dtex value of the maximum shrinkage stress, (4)≥4 to≤50 number of entangled portions, (5) 5.0-15.0% shrinkage percentage in boiling water and (6)≤8% dispersion of the shrinkage percentage in boiling water.
