PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam turbine which exerts no thermal influence to a periphery even if leaked steam flows in a connection chamber to which a pipe passage for passing high temperature leaked steam is connected. SOLUTION: A connection chamber 2 for a balance pipe in a steam turbine 1 is provided with a connection part 31, an inner pipe 32 for insertion, a blocking plate 33, an inner pipe part 3 for passing high temperature leaked steam 97, an outer pipe part 2A for surrounding the inner pipe part 3, and a supporting body 36 which is made of a thin plate and which hermetically holds the connection part 31 and an outer pipe 25 for the connection part so as to be mutually movable in a pipe length direction. The outer pipe part 2A is composed of various members forming the outer pipe 25 for the connection part and an interior space 953. The connection part 31 is provided with a balance pipe 64 to be connected to one end thereof and with the inner pipe 32 for insertion to be connected to the other end. A tip 32a of the inner pipe 32 for insertion is projected to the inside of a bleeding chamber 95 by passing through an opening 742. A space 21 surrounded by the outer pipe part 2A, the inner pipe part 3 and the supporting body 36 is filled with low temperature steam in the bleeding chamber 95. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
