PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively producing a tool for preventing bird injury. SOLUTION: The method for producing the tool B for preventing the bird injury from a waste material of a wire-protecting tube comprising a plastic insulation material having a pipe-shaped body and a cylindrical joint 2 with a flange 2a comprises cutting the pipe-shaped body integrated with the cylindrical joint 2 of the wire-protecting pipe coming to the waste material to a prescribed length, forming two or more branch-shaped fragments 5 by cutting and dividing the pipe-shaped body from the cut terminal in the pipe axis direction by a cutting and dividing means, and forming each of the branch-shaped fragments 5 into an opened shape.
