PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized power supply system which stores generated electric energy for highly efficient operation. SOLUTION: This power supply system includes first and second storage device 2, 3 for storing electric power; a switching device 4 for switching a current from a generator 1 to the first and the second storage device 2, 3; and a power converter 5 which supplies electric power from the first storage device 2 to a load 6, and supplies electric power from the second storage device 3 to the first storage device 2. Braking energy is regenerated into the first and the second storage device 2, 3 with high efficiency, and the switching device 4 can be made into a simple structure, thus attaining size and weight reductions and high reliability.
