The system has a data file (2) storing medical findings (21, 22) of a patient and another data file (3) storing measurement results (31, 32). A subset of the results lies referring to a subset of the findings. A reference of the result referring to the respective finding is stored in the data file (2). The system is designed to automatically detect the result referring to the respective findings by using the reference. An independent claim is also included for a method of controlling access to medical data.
