<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the complexity of circuit diagrams of a data driver IC by reduction of the number of pieces of current source PMOS transistors and to obtain a chip size reduction effect. <P>SOLUTION: The current drive data driver IC includes a register section which stores a video data signal, a level shifter which converts the voltage level of the video data signal, a bias voltage generator which generates a number of the bias voltages, a decoder which selects and outputs one bias voltage with the output signal of the level shifter among a number of the bias voltages as a selection signal, and a digital-to-analog converter which is inputted with the one bias voltage and the output signal of the level shifter, and generates the current capable of expressing a number of gradation levels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
