<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral equipment management system which surely authenticates secure jobs when outputting jobs and is capable of realizing the authentication by a method easy for a user to utilize. <P>SOLUTION: In the peripheral equipment management system comprising an information processor and a peripheral device which are connected to each other via a network, the peripheral device has a telephone function capable of terminating a telephone call. A job transmitted from the information processor to the peripheral device can be set as a job being in a secure job mode requiring notification of an originating telephone number, and the peripheral device does not immediately output the job set as a job in the secure job mode but temporarily stores it.
